("VeraInsight," "we," "us," or "our") operates AmyloidConnect, a free platform designed to support amyloidosis patients with clinical trial matching, patient education, provider finding, and related health information services (the "Service"), available via our website and mobile applications.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use AmyloidConnect.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form).

Health Information: You may voluntarily provide health-related information, including diagnosis details, lab results, treatment history, and documents you choose to upload, in order to receive personalized clinical trial matches, educational content, and AI-assisted guidance.

Location Information: If you use the Provider Finder feature, we may collect your general location (such as ZIP code or city) to identify nearby specialists and treatment centers.

Usage and Device Information: We automatically collect certain technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, and usage patterns, to maintain and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match you with relevant clinical trials based on your health profile
• To provide AI-assisted educational guidance ("Care Copilot") regarding amyloidosis and related conditions
• To help you locate amyloidosis specialists and treatment centers
• To process subscription payments, where applicable
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal or health information. We may share information with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the Service:

• Cloud Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS), for secure hosting, storage, and processing of data
• AI Processing: AI models (including Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock and Cohere) used to power educational and matching features; health data submitted to these services is processed solely to generate responses to you and is not used to train underlying models
• Payments: Stripe, for subscription billing (we do not store your payment card details)
• Clinical Trial and Provider Data: Public sources such as ClinicalTrials.gov and CMS provider databases, used to deliver matching and search results
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

AmyloidConnect is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
